Finding Purpose in life happens to be something that most people spend their whole lives searching for.
There’s no particular age or season that you may discover your “purpose”. Contrary to popular belief your purpose does not have to be ONE SINGLE THING, it can be a number of things. What if you’ve found your purpose and you’ve achieved it? Your purpose can actually change with time. Finding your purpose is a reflection upon how you live, how you move in the world and WHY you move that way.
the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
“the purpose of the meeting is to appoint a trustee”
you create your purpose and your purpose creates you.
I knew my purpose in life since High School. I knew I wanted to help people and share my knowledge with others. I remember watching the news and hearing horror stories about injustices in the world and it would make me so angry. I began to believe I had the ability to change things, help people, give hope to people who didn’t believe they had any hope. I learned that this passion for helping people was my purpose. This is what made me happy, this is what I enjoyed, this is why I AM HERE.
Ask yourself these questions:
Why am I here? What should I be doing ?
Why am I not fulfilled?
What do I enjoy doing?
What am I passionate about?
What drives me to get going everyday?
What are my values? (You can use these as a guide)
If I could get rich from being happy ,what would I spend my time doing?
You can not find your purpose if your mind or heart exists in a cloudy or chaotic place.
Spend time alone, meditate, pray, take a walk. And really ask yourself what brings you joy? what gives you pleasure? What can you do that satisfies you?
Be honest with yourself, be patient and be vulnerable.
Remember: Figuring out your purpose is a journey! It will not happen overnight and you have to get out of your comfort zone.
